Mutiu Adepoju, Dimeji Lawal, others to vie in Players Cup Final

Retired Nigeria international Player Mutiu Adepoju, Dimeji Lawal and other top Ex-International Players will feature in the final and closing ceremony of the on-going Players Cup Soccer Tourney slated for the outside pitch of Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan on Friday 14th May.

The Organizer of the tournament, Demmyspoet Foundation, a Football Management Company, Ayodele Ademola Ewi-Ife said the event will host many top soccer personalities.

Speaking with Western Nigeria Publica, Ademola said the two teams that have qualified for the Finals are Marvelous FC and Sheddy Motors FC. Both will be facing each other in the final and closing ceremony of the tourney later today.

Part of activities lined up for the closing ceremony according to the organizer is a novelty football match between Demmyspoet and Friends and Pacesetter FC at 3:pm, an hour before the final kick-off, while the popular Explixit Dancers will also entertain the audience with an electrifying dancing performance.

Also, awards will be presented to the Most Valuable player of the Tournament, Best Goalkeeper, Highest Goals scorer, among others.

Some of top Ex-International that will feature in the exhibition match is Mutiu Adepoju, Dimeji Lawal, Duke Udi, Kabiru Alausa, Muyiwa Lawal, Kola Ige among others, while the Oyo State Football Association Chairman, Oba James Odeniran and scouting crew of 3SC are also expected at the final. 

The Demmyspoet boss however said 24 top teams which includes Super Eleven FC. Adewale FC. Vincee-Lee Football Academy, Global FC. Brightville Gold Academy, Marvelous FC. Youngstars FC. Wasiu Taiwo FC and Oke-Ado United, all within Ibadan metropolis participated in the maiden tourney before two teams qualified for the finals.
