Police arrest 4 suspects for alleged theft in Gombe

Gombe Police Command has arrested 4 suspects for alleged shop breaking and looting shops in some locations within the State just as various stolen items were recovered as exhibits.

Confirming the arrests to the press, Gombe State Commissioner of Police, CP Oqua Etim, paraded the suspects at the police headquarters in Gombe.

CP Oqua Etim stated that the arrests were made following a complaint about the actions of these individuals on August 17th. Subsequently, a comprehensive investigation was launched, leading to the apprehension of the suspects.

The commissioner highlighted that the investigation remains ongoing, and upon its completion, the suspects will be brought before the court for legal proceedings.

In the course of the investigation, law enforcement authorities were able to recover seventeen (17) wrappers and two (2) sewing machines.

The arrested suspects are: Rabiu Mohammed, aged 18 of Wuro Biriji; Laminu Yayaji aged 18 of Herwagana quarters; Machel Yunusa aged 19 of Manawachi and Abdullahi Musa aged 16 of Malam-innan qts

“Case will soon be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation,” said Etim.

He, however,  urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any information that may lead to the arrest of criminal elements.
