The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB), has released the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results.
Over 1.94 million candidates registered and sat the examination in 118 towns and over 700 centres across the country.
The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, announced the release of the results at a press conference held at the board’s headquarters, Bwari, in Abuja on Monday.
The examination which began on Friday, April 19, ended on Monday, April 29, 2024.
The board earlier explained that it chose to delay the release of the results by some days because it needed some time to scrutinize the results to ensure credibility and integrity of the results, ensuring that there are no questions or any form of unclarity concerning the results particularly as regards the issue of impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other forms of malpractices. How to check your JAMB result using your phone
Step 1: Visit the official JAMB result-checking portal at https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Efacility. The portal is accessible on any device with an internet connection, such as a computer, tablet, or mobile phone.
Step 2: Then, log in to your profile using your email address and password. After accessing the portal, click on the “Check UTME Results” link.
Step 3: Enter your registration number on the JAMB result-checking portal.
Step 4: Once you have entered your JAMB registration number, click on the “Check Result” button. The portal will then process your result and display it on the screen.
Step 5: Print out a copy of your results.
How to check your UMTE Results via SMS:
To check your JAMB results via SMS, follow these simple steps-by-step guide.
– On your mobile phone, launch your text messaging application.
– Type “RESULT” followed by your JAMB Registration Number (e.g., RESULT 12345678910).
– Send this message to 55019 or 66019, the official numbers provided by JAMB for retrieving results.
– JAMB will send a reply SMS containing your scores for each subject.
– Note: This service incurs a charge of N50, which will be deducted from your mobile phone airtime.
The release of the UTME results followed a comprehensive review by JAMB to ensure the credibility and integrity of the examination process. This scrutiny was particularly focused on addressing issues related to impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other forms of malpractice.
Candidates who participated in the examination, which ran from April 19 to April 29, 2024, can now easily access their results using the methods outlined above.
