The Youth O'clock Advancement Association Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young people to bring about meaningful change in the country.

This pledge was made by the National Coordinator of the Association, Engr. Seth Francis, during the inauguration of the state executive council and the closing ceremony of a one-day capacity-building workshop for voluntary uniform organizations.

The event, held at the multipurpose hall of Gombe State University, focused on equipping participants with skills in first aid, firefighting, communication and teamwork.

Engr. Francis described youths as vital agents of national development and emphasized the importance of empowering them to contribute effectively toward restoring Nigeria's dignity.

Commending the Gombe State Chapter for organizing the workshop, which trained 200 individuals from uniform organizations as its maiden project, the national coordinator challenged other state chapters, particularly in the Northeast, to emulate Gombe by initiating impactful community programs.

He clarified that Youth O'clock Nigeria is a non-political organization and has no affiliations with any political parties, emphasizing their readiness to collaborate with individuals or organizations committed to the Nation's development.

Representatives of the Gombe State Commissioner of Police, CSP Safiyanu Sa'idu, and the State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Manir Muh’d, praised the association for organizing the workshop, assuring their willingness to partner with the organization for future initiatives.

Earlier, in his welcome address, the Gombe State Coordinator of Youth O'clock Nigeria, Comrade Abdulaziz Sani Labaran, expressed gratitude to attendees, particularly partners like Gombe State University, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigerian Red Cross Society, for their significant contributions to the success of the workshops and the inauguration, assuring more impactful projects in the future.
