The project, which is at 65 percent completion stage,  is expected to be completed at the end of December this year.

According to Mohammed, the purpose of the tour was to monitor the contract's progress based on reports received from the contractor since assuming office as the commissioner.

While expressing satisfaction, the commissioner urged the contractor to ensure timely completion before the 18-month contract deadline expires at the end of this year, emphasizing the benefit it would bring to the people of Gombe.

He, however, called on residents to take responsibility for maintaining the water supply infrastructure and settle water bills promptly to support the government's efforts in providing portable and accessible drinking water.

During an interview with our correspondent at the project sites, the project manager of Jidadu Ventures Nig. Ltd, Engr. Abubakar Barambu, affirmed the company's commitment to delivering a lasting and timely project as an indigenous firm.
