The second edition of the Boycode Bootcamp successfully took place from Monday, June 12th, to Friday, June 16th, 2023. The bootcamp, which commenced on Democracy Day, marked the beginning of an exciting journey for over 20 boys selected from a pool of 200 applicants. These boys, hailing from underserved communities across Nigeria, are embarking on a transformative experience aimed at empowering them to become professionals in the technological community.
The Boycode Bootcamp 2.0, organized by the Stellar Academy, serves as an introduction to a comprehensive 12-week intensive program. This program covers various ICT courses such as Graphics, Data Analytics, UI/UX, Front-end, and Back-end Development. The bootcamp provides a strong foundation for the boys, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the technology industry.
During the bootcamp, attendees had the privilege of hearing inspiring speeches from a distinguished lineup of mentors, including Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, Olakunle Soriyan, Emeka Mordi, Temitope Ekundayo, Lukman Shobowale, Bayo Lawal, Foster Akugri, Abimbola Amusan, Eyitayo Ogunmola, Samson Olatunde, Babjide Balogun, Ayodeji Abatan, Richard Badejo, Gabriel Balogun, and Tunde Shonekan. These dedicated mentors showcased their support and exemplified the spirit of mentorship, highlighting the collaborative efforts in paving a brighter future for these young boys in the technology field.
The Founder and Director of the Stellar Academy, Ms. Precious Eniayekan addressed the boys, urging them to focus on learning the art and science of whatever skill they’ve chosen so as to be able to compete on the worlds stage.
The Boycode Bootcamp 2.0 is proud to prioritize gender balance and inclusivity. Among the boys in attendance, efforts were made to ensure a diverse representation. This commitment to gender equality allows for equal opportunities and promotes an environment where all participants can learn and grow together. Emeka Mordi, the country manager for Verto FX, urged the boys at Boycode Bootcamp 2.0 to utilize their acquired knowledge to solve local problems within their communities.

Looking ahead, the Stellar Academy aims to showcase the success stories and capabilities of talented young boys across Nigeria. As the 12-week intensive program unfolds, the academy and its partner Vesti, Dukiya investments and Seven 30 are dedicated to nurturing these boys into professionals who will make significant contributions to the technological landscape.
