Gombe state Commissioner for Water, Environment, and Forest Resources, Alhaji Mohammed Saidu Fawu, has officially inaugurated a three-day workshop for the Sustainable Urban and Rural Water Sanitation and Hygiene (SURWASH) States Programme Coordinators and Monitoring & Evaluation Officers in the state.
Representing the Commissioner at the event, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Danladi Adamu, extended a warm welcome to participants from various parts of the country, expressing delight that Gombe State was chosen as the host location for the workshop.
He attributed the selection to the exemplary leadership of the State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for maintaining peace in the State.
Mr. Adamu encouraged the participants to diligently acquire and enhance their skills during the workshop, emphasizing that these newly acquired skills would play a crucial role in the effective implementation of their respective work plans, ultimately leading to the successful realization of SURWASH program goals and objectives.
He officially declared the three-day workshop open and extended his best wishes to all the participants, expressing hope for fruitful deliberations and successful outcomes.
The theme for the workshop is "Enhancing Data, Quality Assessment and Reporting Skills."
