The Deputy Chief Missioner, Nasrul-Lahi-l- Fathi Society (NASFAT), Imam Abdulateef Bello has advised students of Fountain University, Osogbo to exhibit good character in their journey of life.
Bello made this call during a Special Asalatu as part of the activities to mark the 12th convocation ceremony of the University on Sunday.
He admonished students to imbibe humility in relating with other people in the societies they found themselves.
"Exhibit good character and distinguish yourselves as good ambassadors of Islam by abstaining from all social vices and bad conduct."
“If good character is absent in your life, there is no guarantee of success in life. To be successful, you have to be humble. Make sure you prioritize good character because as you lay your bed, so shall you lie in it, you should show respect to elders, honour them, not insult them, mock them or be disobedient to them", he added.
He, however, urged students to be prayerful and consistent in practising their religion, adding that reciting Suratul Fathia, chapter one of the Qur'an is the recipe to all problems.
On his part, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Amidu Sanni admonished the students to imbibe all of the morals learnt from the lecture.
