Lagos, Zamfara Education Commissioners, others to speak at Educators Conference

Lagos State Commissioner of Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo and her counterpart from Zamfara state, Honorable Nasiru Zarumi Masama are among distinguished guests expected at the 2022 Educators Conference being organised by Emerald Edu. Consult.

The virtual Conference, themed “Beyond the classroom”, is billed for Thursday, 29th September to Sunday, 2nd October, 2022.  Over 1,000 participants will attend the event from all regions of the world.

A statement signed by convener, Mr. Odusanya Olalekan Adeola, said the conference, which is the  largest gathering of all educators across the globe, is aimed  at bringing teachers together to learn, connect, share ideas and interact, bringing innovative ideas and strategies to be better teachers and achieve more in the profession.

"One of the major highlights of 21st-century education is that learning must go beyond the classroom. As teachers, we are change agents and we must understand that we have lost our right to limit our work of impact to the four walls of the classroom alone," he said.

Keynote speakers expected at the event are the Director, West Africa Region Array Global Education Services USA, Mohamed Rashed Mohammed; Commissioner for Education, Lagos State, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo; Commissioner for Education, Zamfara state, Hon. Zarumi Nasiru and the Global Teacher Prize Winner 2021 USA, Keisha Thorpe.

Other expected guests and speakers include Professional Development expert, UK, Patricia De Greise; Chief Executive Officer, Teach for Nigeria, Folawe Omikunle; and Maltina Teacher of the year 2020, Nigeria, Bunmi Anani.

Jane Checkecheke, Trust Mutekwe, Stella Gyimaah Larbi, Oluwaseyi Anifowose, Ha Kim Phuong, Olelekan Areola Odusanya and Renia Lampon will also participate in the panel session at the Educators Conference.
