Meet Teachers Naija 2022 Housemate, Isaac Wua and Teach for Nigeria Fellow

One of the housemates in the ongoing Teachers Naija reality television show 2022, Isaac Msughve Mua,  is a Teach for Nigeria Fellow(TFN), a non-profit organisation dedicated to building a movement of Nigeria’s most promising leaders across the country.

Isaac, an entrepreneurial enthusiast, committed to skills and human capital development,  is among the 19 housemates in the Teachers Reality TV Show Season 3  themed 'The Smart Teacher' which began on Saturday 22nd October, 2022.

He had his first degree at Sarwuan Tarka Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi. He is currently pursuing his Masters degree  at CEFTER Benue State University Makurdi and also a Postgraduate  Student  of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu Ijebu Ogun State.

Isaac is a certified 1million teachers Top achievers (Black belt) 

The housemate  started teaching as a volunteer assistant Maths teacher and became a staff of Uplift Secondary Gboko upon graduation and has taught for over five years.  As a TFN Fellow,  he is serving at St James African Church Primary School Akinola Obafemi Owode LGA Ogun State.

He owns a start up Fashion Academy, M.I Dressmakers Academy Gboko.

The educator is  the National President Uplift Old Students Association, National Vice President, Anglican Secondary School Old Students Association.

Isaac believes that Quality and Safe Education is compulsorily necessary and should be accessible to all children regardless of their socio economic backgrounds or geographical locations.

The reality show, an initiative of Anub Media Limited, had its first season in 2019 where the winner, first and second runners-up went home with N1.5 million, N1 million, and N500,000 respectively.

In its second edition in 2021, the show’s winner was awarded a 2-bedroom flat in Abuja and the sum of N2 million cash prize while the first and the second runners-up got N1.5 million and N1 million respectively.

This year’s edition will reward the winner with N10 million, while the first and second runners-up will get N7 million and N5 million respectively.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on Friday, Enuagwuna Ubaka, the show’s convener, said the essence of the show is to change the narrative of the teaching profession.

“The show is about letting people know that teachers deserve more and that what is being given currently is not commensurate with what they are giving to society,” Ubaka said.

“I mean these are the people that train the future generation and they deserve to be recognised. If other shows give out a lot of money to their participants, I think teachers deserve more because they have more impact.”

Meanwhile, Isaac has emerged as the first Head of the house.

The show is expected to last from October 22nd to November 21st, 2022.
