NASFAT Nursery and Primary School, Ifo marks 2nd year anniversary

NASFAT Nursery and Primary School Ifo, Ogun State, today celebrated 2 years of delivering quality education in Nigeria.

Established  23rd September 2019, the school has grown within a few years of establishment, and has made significant progress, winning awards.

In an interview with Western Nigeria Publica, The Head Teacher of the school, Mrs.  Yusuf Halimah said the school has been recording excellence and the pupils have always been portraying the mission and vision of the school.

Speaking on the achievement of the school in the last two years, she said: "It is important to monitor the rate at which the pupils are performing. We have been able to instill moral, academic, Islamic and some other good things in our pupils' lives." 

“We are not producing failure, our pupils are better than their peers. It makes me feel fulfilled seeing some Parents’ testimonies towards the school are encouraging, which always makes me happy."

Consequently, some of the students have represented the school at the Nasfat National education week and  came second for Debate and first at Nasfat Ogun Education week, respectively.

According to the Head Teacher, the pupils are trained to become morally, religiously, psychological, and intellectually in all ramifications.

Halimah  spoke on the need for all stakeholders in the education sector to get re-orientated, in order to reposition the sector from its present state.

“The major problems facing education are teachers who are no more committed to their work and parents that would always want to cut corners.

"Also, I will like to advice the society to respect and honour the teachers. Teachers and parents should also believe that all children has its own hidden talents, don't give up on any child. The teachers should also try as much as possible to give hope to each child. Don't use your words to kill their self-esteem."

She appealed to government at all levels, and stakeholders to make the necessary changes to transform the educational sector.
